Virtual Reality Labs

Teen Advisory Board

Come participate in our Teen Advisory Board! TAB is a place where you can share your opinions and directly improve the library’s teen programs, services and collections. TAB meets the fourth Tuesday of every month. Must be in grades 7-12 to participate. Pizza will be provided, and participating in TAB counts as community service hours!

Cards for Hospitalized Kids

Friday, December 21, 1-3pm

Start your winter break off right by giving back! While a card might seem simple, it can have a tremendous impact on a hospitalized child and their family.

We’ll provide all the supplies you need to make beautiful handmade cards, and we’ll send them to Cards for Hospitalized Kids to be distributed to hospitals around the country.

There will also be a button maker and supplies for you to make last minute gifts for friends and family who need a little bit of flair!

For youth in grades 5-12. No registration required; bring a friend!

 

Games Day

Saturdays, December 29, January 26, 1-3pm

Come to  Games Day at the Library! We’ll provide a selection of new and classic board games for families with children of all ages. Bring your Magic the Gathering cards or Pokémon cards— experts will be on hand. Stay the entire time or drop-by for just a game or two!

Families with all ages welcome! Drop in program; no registration required.

 

Student Rights and School Bullying Workshop

Saturday, January 12, 1-3pm

oin us for a workshop on Student Rights and School Bullying, presented by the Council on American Islamic Relations.

The presentation focuses on the many ways bullying presents itself, impacts students of various backgrounds, what students should do, and what laws protect them in public schools.
