The Next Chapter
We’ll present information on two different topics:
Captioned Telephone – Abigail Mebrahtu, California Outreach Coordinator for California Relay provides information on captioned telephones available 24/7 at no cost for the deaf or hard of hearing.
Marin Transit Connect – Cody Lowe, from Marin Transit Connect will present information on a new low-cost service that offers rides from any location, to any location, in the service area, using an app on your phone.
“I just can’t hear on the phone…but with Captioned Telephone, I can “see what they say®.”
If you’ve ever missed out on what was said during a telephone call – you no longer need to. Now you can see word-for-word what is said to you throughout your phone conversation. It’s called Captioned telephone or CapTel.
Speaker, Abigail Mebrahtu is a California Outreach Coordinator for California Relay. California Relay provides Telecommunications Relay Service throughout the state under contract with the California Public Utilities Commission. We’ll give you an estimated pickup time and plan a convenient route to your destination in one of our Marin Transit Connect shuttle vans. You can track your ride in-real time with the app, and you’ll receive text message notifications about the ride whether or not you use the app.
