The above item checkout limits apply in all MARINet libraries and are subject to individual libraries' own limits. See below for additional limits for San Rafael Public Library materials, as well as loan periods, overdue fees, and renewal limits.
Adult Materials

3 week loan, overdue fine $.25/day, reserves $.50, maximum late fee $10, may be renewed twice for 3 weeks if not on reserve. |
| DVDs and Blu-Ray |

1 week rental, $2/week rental plus $.50 for additional days, must be returned to San Rafael Public Library. DVDs at Pickleweed and Downtown non-rental DVDs may be renewed once. |
| Books on CD |

3 week rental or 6 week rental, limit of 5 per day, $1/3 weeks or $2/6 weeks plus $.25 for additional days, maximum late fee $10, must be returned to San Rafael Public Library. Books on CD at Pickleweed may be renewed once. |
| Music CDs |

1 week loan, limit of 10 per day, overdue fine $.25/day, may be renewed twice. |
| Magazines |
