Friends of the Library
An active group of Friends who have participated in fundraising, advocacy and volunteering. They also provided great contributions to the community through their support of the Summer Reading Program, art lectures and other library programs.
Visit Friends Books (1016 C Street, San Rafael) to purchase quality used books and support library programs and services. You can reach the bookstore at (415) 453-1443.
Library Board of Trustees
An advisory board with responsibility to:
- Provide support for the Director
- Support the Library Foundation in its quest for a new library
- Serve as advocates for the Library to the City Council
- Help increase the visibility of the Library in the community
San Rafael Public Library Foundation
Established in 2004 to raise money for replacing and building a library for the 21st century, to furnish and maintain it, and to secure its future for generations to come.
