Downtown Library Renovation Updates

On September 2nd, 2024, the Downtown Library closed for much-needed safety and infrastructure updates. After several months of work, we are excited to move back to the Carnegie building. The Pop-Up Library on 4th Street will be permanently closing to the public on July 21st.  The reopening of the Downtown library is expected to be on Monday, August 4th*.  

Please look out for other important updates and information coming soon. 

While we’re closed…
We will be unable to accept physical item returns while we are moving back to the Downtown Library. For items due between July 21st and August 3rd, the due date will be extended to August 4th. We will be happy to accept the items back at the Downtown Library starting August 4th. 

Holds that have not been picked up from the Pop-Up Library by Sunday, July 20th will be available at the Downtown Library beginning Monday, August 4th. Requested items being held at the Downtown Library will not be accessible during the closure. Hold pick-up dates will be extended; requested items can be picked up at the Downtown Library, or you can select a different pick-up location.

Actualizaciones sobre la Renovación de la Biblioteca Central

El 2 de septiembre de 2024, la Biblioteca Central cerró para remodelar y realizar actualizaciones de seguridad e infraestructura necesarias. Después de varios meses de trabajo, estamos muy contentos de volver al edificio Carnegie. La Biblioteca Temporal cerrará permanentemente al público el lunes, 21 de julio.  La reapertura de la Biblioteca Central está prevista para el lunes 4 de agosto*. 

Mientras estamos cerrados…
No podremos aceptar devoluciones de artículos físicos mientras nos trasladamos de nuevo a la Biblioteca Central. Por lo tanto, la fecha de entrega de todos los artículos que deban devolverse entre el 21 de julio y el 3 de agosto se extenderá hasta el 4 de agosto. Aceptaremos gustosamente estos artículos en la Biblioteca Central a partir del 4 de agosto. 

Los materiales reservados que no hayan sido recogidos en la Biblioteca Temporal antes del domingo 20 de julio estarán disponibles en la Biblioteca Central a partir del lunes 4 de agosto. Durante el cierre, no se podrá tener acceso a los artículos reservados que se encuentren en la Biblioteca Temporal. Las fechas de recogida se extenderán; los artículos solicitados se pueden recoger en la Biblioteca Central, o se puede seleccionar un lugar de recogida diferente.
