Bike Locks
Do you like to get around using your bike? For your convenience, now the library has locks that can be checked out.
The San Rafael Public Library offers bike locks for patrons to use while they visit the 4th street Pop-Up or Pickleweed Libraries. Bike locks can be borrowed at the circulation desk with a library card in good standing (one bike lock per card). Locks can only be checked out for two hours and must be returned before the library closes for the day. Some form of collateral will be required in order to check out the locks (your ID card for example). Locks must be returned to the Circulation Desk.
If the lock and key are not returned or either key or lock is lost or damaged, the borrower will be charged the full replacement cost.
There is a limited number of locks and they are available on a first come, first served basis.
Regardless of whether a library lock was used, the library is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged bicycles or other equipment.
