Creating Website Images on Your Mac

Please join us for a continuing series of classes for small businesses and independent professionals who would like guidance on building their web presence through their websites, email marketing, and social media.

Facilitator, Melanie Lamoureux, User Experience Consultant and owner of Jumpinsites, will present this series of classes, each one building on the next.

All classes meet on the following Thursdays from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Library Meeting Room

Class 1: Thursday, May 5
We will focus on getting an essential one-page website up and running quickly. This site can be expanded and refined as students learn more in subsequent classes about how to best utilize their sites for their particular needs. Students will leave with a workbook for their web content and clear steps for how to get it into a site and launched.

Class 2: Thursday May 19 
In this class you will be translating your completed workbooks into your webpage when you put it all together, learn how you can use Google Fonts and hex colors to further customize the look/brand of your site, and learn how to use metadata and social sharing info to help search engines and social media know what your site is about
Please bring your completed workbooks and a laptop (if you have one). We will be doing some exercises online together.

Classes 3 & 4: Thursdays
June16 and June 23

Creating images that are the right size for the web can be tricky. In this class, I will show you quick and easy ways to make engaging images for your website and social media channels using tools that are on every Mac computer. Bring your laptop to this hands-on 2-part workshop.
