Have fun learning the basics of cartooning. Learn to draw your own characters, develop stories, and create your own comic. Artist Brian Kolm is the founder of Atomic Bear Press and teaches cartooning workshops at the Cartoon Art Museum. For middle school aged youth (grades 6-8). Space is limited. Come learn how you can share your family photo history, vacation, or your hobby collection with family, friends, or fellow hobbyists.
This is a demonstration only presentation, but feel free to bring your laptop or tablet to follow along.

In addition to Ancestry.com, I’ll be showing you other genealogy eResources, as well as local genealogy organizations to help you get started in researching and creating your family tree.

Mango Languages is an online language learning system that offers over 60 different foreign language courses from Arabic to Yiddish – even Pirate! In addition, there are 16 English courses for foreign language speakers, from Arabic to Vietnamese. There’s even an English course for Children.
All 17 member libraries in MARINet consortium subscribe to Mango Languages.
With your library card and PIN, you can access Mango Languages from your computer, tablet, or smart phone. While you listen to the program, follow the onscreen prompts. Start at any level and return to continue your lessons. Watch videos and immerse yourself in the culture of that faraway place.
