It is often difficult to visualize and comprehend how our ancestors lived. Hands-on participation in the creation of items using ancient technologies brings the whole topic to life and gives the participants a base upon which to build an understanding of where we come from. Come and learn string, bead, and rope making. Play catch, rope and dice games! Gain insights into just how much creativity and intelligence was required to survive in ancient times.

Tips for Parents Whose Teens Keep Everything Inside.
You’d feel so much better if you knew what your teenager was up to.
Raising kids is hard. Raising teenagers is harder! I frequently hear from parents how difficult it is when their teenagers don’t talk to them. These parents would love to help out their kids but just don’t know how to get their kids to open up in any meaningful way. It’s not their fault.
Come spend an evening with Maria Arieta, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, to learn why it’s so difficult to communicate with your teenagers and what you can do to get them to open up to you. Leave knowing how to feel confident that you know what to do next time your teen shuts you out.

Shark Attack and Other Mishaps, with Peller Marion
“I am going to die!” That was my first thought when the 18 foot, three thousand pound tiger shark attacked me in the waters of Maui. Being savaged and nearly killed by a shark was an adventure I never saw coming, and was one that forced me to discover reserves of strength and courage that I never knew I had.”
One out of ninety-eight million people are attacked by a shark. The author was one of them.
In early May of 2007, Peller Marion was savaged and nearly killed by an eighteen-foot, three-thousand-pound tiger shark in the waters off Kihei, Maui. After it occurred, this shark attack was a human-interest story that generated national and international attention and played out publicly on television and in newspapers. But her recovery, both physical and emotional, has been a very private process–one she chronicles in Shark Attack and Other Mishaps.
This is a story about how she survived, the ordeal she went through, and how it revealed other life changing events.
The opening narrative, from which the title is taken, establishes the central preoccupations: the difficulty of recognizing one’s mortality, the yearning to make sense out of the puzzle pieces of one’s life, and the poignancy and yearnings of a long-time marriage.
Peller’s past includes climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, racing motorcycles, and working as a Gestalt Art Therapist. She is the author of several books, including Crisis Proof Your Career, Career Tune Up,  and the novels Searching for the G Spot and Shopping Lessons.
Dr. Peller Marion is a corporate psychologist in San Francisco. She specializes in guiding executives through personal and professional transitions and corporate teams through difficult real-time leadership issues.
