Zentangle with Romi Marks
Romi Marks will be providing online classes via Zoom every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Romi has an art studio degree from Sonoma State and has been practicing the visual arts since childhood. She is a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), educated by the creators of Zentangle, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. Romi has been practicing and teaching Zentangle for many years, teaching at San Rafael Public Library since 2017.
Zentangle is a fun, relaxing and easy-to-learn art form that uses repetitive patterns to create beautiful images while improving focus and creativity. This new art form can be enjoyed by anyone, from beginners to professionals, providing artistic satisfaction and personal well being.
You will delve in to the Zentangle method while creating a beautiful composition. Learn to draw patterns and use shading and color techniques to bring this Zentangle inspired composition to life. There will be a short guided meditation and lots of step by step instructions. This class is two to three hours so please plan accordingly. Join the call a few of minutes early so we can all begin on time. As space is limited, be respectful of the library and your fellow students by attending the class you have signed up for. If you sign up, please show up.
February’s theme is Heart Spark: We will be exploring shading and coloring techniques and playing with new compositions. Please keep an eye out for the supply list when you register so you will know what you need for the class. Please click the link below to register.
Pre-registration required: https://www.tangledyogi.com/shop/p/heart-spark

Romi Marks is a fantastic teacher and guide through the meditative art process of Zentangle. When class was held at the San Rafael Library, I enjoyed and learned from each class that I attended. Now on Zoom, the experience is also wonderful. Less crowding and more meditative. Thank you for offering this most valuable class. Romi’s style offers calm and freedom especially in a time of uncertainty.
Romi is a dynamic Zentangle instructor! This class was the calm in the eye of my chaotic week. Thank you for offering her classes through the library.
Words can never express the joy I get from the Tangled Yogi Zentangle classes your library offers. I draw them on cards and send them out to people who, “need a lift.” Feedback has been very positive. So very many people are having a difficult time right now; every small act of kindness brightens someone’s life for a while. Romi Marks, the Tangled Yogi, is a breath of fresh air! She is very kind, patient, and talented. Thank you again for offering these wonderful classes.
Once again, a HUGE thank you for your continued support of Roma Marks’ Zentangle class. She’s a fantastic teacher and her class is the highlight of my month, every month!~Lori
