Virtual Book Club with Librarian, Marilyn Boatright via Zoom video conferencing.
Please register in advance. After registering you will receive a link and instructions for how to participate on the day and time of the book club. For online programs, I have read and agree to the City of San Rafael’s online legal and privacy information.
We may have some copies of the book available for attendees of the book club. Please call us at 415-485-3323 to reserve a book club copy and schedule a curbside pickup appointment. February 18 – Caste: The Origins of Our Discontent by Isabel Wilkerson, hosted by Librarian Marilyn Boatright
March 18 – The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett, hosted by Librarian Marilyn Boatright
This book has been chosen as San Rafael Library’s “Book to Action,” a community-wide program from the California Center for the Book to Read/Discuss/Act during the months of March-June. We will be hosting two book discussions and a number of online programs around the issues this book brings up: race identity, transgender identity, colorism, passing, among others.
